Installing Koryo in Slack
Koryo installs through Slack's official, secure authorization screen in about five minutes. No code, no servers, no passwords shared.
What you'll need
- A Slack workspace where you can install apps. If your workspace requires admin approval for new apps, you'll need to be a Slack Workspace Admin/Owner or have an admin approve the request.
- About five minutes.
- The work email of the person who will manage Koryo (usually you) - the setup link is sent there.
Step 1 — Start the install
- Go to the Koryo product page.
- Click Add to Slack.
- You'll be taken to Slack's official authorization page (the URL starts with
slack.com/oauth/…).
If you manage more than one Slack workspace, use the workspace picker at the top of the Slack screen to choose the right one before continuing.
Step 2 — Review and approve permissions
Slack shows exactly what Koryo can see and do:
- Content and info about channels & conversations — so surveys can be delivered and responses collected.
- Content and info about your workspace — to read the member list (names, emails) so surveys reach the right people.
- Perform actions in channels & conversations — to send the survey DMs and post results where you ask.
Click Allow to continue. If your workspace requires admin approval, the request is sent to an admin and the install completes once they approve.
Step 3 — Set your password
- Koryo provisions your workspace automatically - this is instant.
- The person who installed it is set up as the HR Admin and receives a "Welcome to Koryo — set your password" email.
- Open that email and click Set my password.
Step 4 — Log in to the dashboard
- Go to
koryo.axon-apps.com. - Enter your work email and the password you just set.
- You're in - create your first survey, import teammates, and view results.
That's it. Koryo is live in your workspace.
Your free trial
Installing starts a 14-day Plus trial with every feature unlocked. We email reminders before it ends. At the end of the trial:
- If you upgrade, you stay on Plus.
- If you don't, you move to the Free plan automatically - no data is lost, only the Plus-only features are locked.
See current pricing on the pricing page.
Roles — who can do what
An HR Admin assigns roles from the dashboard.
Reinstalling & multiple admins
- Installing Koryo again in a workspace where it's already set up changes nothing - your existing data, surveys, and users stay exactly as they were. You'll see a "Welcome back" screen instead of first-time setup.
- A second person installing does not automatically become an admin. Existing users keep their current role; new people are added as End User, and an HR Admin can promote them if needed.
Koryo in more than one Slack workspace
Each Slack workspace is independent and gets its own Koryo setup. If your company has several Slack workspaces and you want Koryo in more than one, email us at info@axon-apps.com and we'll set it up with you.
Troubleshooting
I didn't get the setup email. Check spam/junk and confirm the email on your Slack profile is correct - that's where we send it. Still nothing after a few minutes? Email info@axon-apps.com.
The setup link expired. Links last 72 hours. Go to koryo.axon-apps.com, click "Forgot password", and we'll send a fresh link.
"Add to Slack" sends me to an admin-approval screen. Your workspace requires admin approval for new apps. Ask a Slack Workspace Admin to approve the request, then finish setup from the email.
I installed it on the wrong workspace. Reinstall on the correct one (use the workspace picker on the Slack screen), then remove it from the wrong one - see below.
Uninstalling
- In Slack: Settings & administration → Manage apps.
- Find Koryo, open it, and click Remove App.
If you'd also like your data deleted, email info@axon-apps.com and we'll remove it per our Privacy Policy.
